A la carte restauranten 1401 Food&Friends byder på bl.a. på de velkendte sprøde pizzaer på egen surdej fra bageriet og en sliders menu. Sliders er små lækre og delikate burgere, som man kan vælge flere forskellige af og derved få en bredere smagsoplevelse end den klassiske store burger. Til at supplere menuen serverer vi høje håndmadder til frokost og salater hele dagen. Konceptet ligger op til, at man kan dele maden, hvilket er i synergi med det, man ellers kender fra 1401-konceptet.

Vores filosofi er at servere inspirerende og visuelt lækker mad af gode råvarer og i videst muligt omfang at benytte os af lokale råvarer for derved at støtte lokale producenter.

A luxury coffee roastery in Vejle’s Latin Quarter. Since 2013, we have roasted coffee from our own coffee farm in Ecuador. We also sell coffee from other countries and offer many varieties, mostly as whole beans.

We are located at Fabrikanterne in Vejle Midtpunkt. Fabrikanterne has partnered with 86 Danish designers to offer an inspiring and innovative environment. So here we meet for coffee and Danish design.

Anduma Vinbar is a small authentic wine bar – a cosy and relaxed oasis in the middle of Vejle close to the town’s restaurants, theatre and cinema. The wine bar is located a short walk from the pedestrian street and is hosted by passionate enthusiasts. We offer an extensive list of wines from most of the world, including a large selection of wine by the glass. In addition to wine, we also serve snacks and light dishes of charcuterie, cheese, tapenade, olives and house-baked bread. BLAS is an Irish/Danish family-run microbrewery. We are located in Randbøl’s old cooperative dairy, right by the Ancient Road where Vejle Valley meets the heath. We brew on a small manual brewing system, which allows us to do what we love: to experiment and test new, interesting beer recipes. Come by our bottle shop or book a beer tasting with us.

Bøgedal Brew is the only commercial brewery in the world to follow an old Danish brewing tradition from before industrialisation. Namely, the brewing of so-called “godtøl” – a strong, very rich beer with great residual sweetness. Such beer was brewed on farms around Denmark until the last century. Bøgedal Brew is Scandinavia’s only all-gravity brewery. Here, the beer runs from vessel to vessel using a hoist rather than pumps. CHAMPAGNESHOPPEN (The Champagne Shop) started as a hobby after a number of trips to Champagne that opened our eyes to the difference between the big-brand wine houses and small winemakers who make own-name champagnes.

We decided that this was an experience more Danes should enjoy. We import labels we like ourselves and which are made by people whom we like. We have a passion for the wine called champagne as well as the people of North Eastern France. We select the winegrowers with great care. All are small wine houses where the entire production from grapes to finished bottles is managed by the owner. We give emphasis to sustainability and the personality of the champagnes.

We sell the wines via our webshop, but also from the premises. Please call or write before arrival. We will be happy to guide you to the right choice.

Welcome to the Denmark & Nordic store, where we only sell products that are produced in Denmark. The store brims with stylish and beautiful things. For us, it’s about passion, the back story, high quality and sustainability. We represent 120 different designers and manufacturers and the selection ranges from delicacies, interior, art and furniture to jewellery and nature. Early Nature supplies handmade, custom-manufactured knives and accessories with an emphasis on quality, sustainability, functionality and sturdy craftsmanship – objects designed to last for generations.

Some knives are made with wood from the local area, and you can either opt for a custom-made knife or select your personal favourite from a range of handmade quality knives.

“It is my goal to create meaningful experiences in the kitchen and a sense of reliability in working with the knives, so that the desire to experiment and explore grows,” says Steffen Jarl.

Whiskey from Fary Lochan is unmatched in its flavour anywhere. The name derives from the town of Farres (originally called Fary) and our lake, Lochan. We produce all our whiskey from scratch at our distillery in Farre. We always start in nature where we pick herbs and nettles, which we – as the only producers in the world – use to smoke our malt. We specialise in whiskey as well as gin, aquavit and liqueur. Drop by. We offer tours and tastings and our farm shop is stocked with our products.

In Vejle’s sourdough bakery, you’ll find bread made with sustainable and Danish products. The bakery offers an open atmosphere, where there’s always room for a chat about sourdough and bread. Folmer himself works in the bakery throughout the day, and so there’s polite self-service in the shop. 

Trendy gin bar in Torvehallerne

The gin bar is located in the middle of the chic lounge area of Torvehallerne. Here, there is an urban industrial vibe and atmosphere. We not only serve gin, but also various cocktails and draught beers. You can taste over 100 different types of gin as well as a handful of tonics. The staff will skilfully guide you to the perfect flavour combination. We can also recommend our tasting set. The gin bar is located in Hotel Best Western Torvehallerne opposite the SMWS bar. In Torvehallerne, you will also find the Italian restaurant Bistecca, Bar Sushi and Restaurant Jacobsens. So, welcome to a world of taste.

Enjoy a delicious dinner at the beautiful Haraldskær Estate. Among hills and beech trees in Vejle Ådal lies Haraldskær and breaks the green landscape with its beautiful white facade and red tiles. Havnens Vin og Tobakshus is a wine store and tobacconist located by Vejle Harbour since 1970. We are a family-run business offering a large selection of wines. LYST is located on the upper floor of the spectacular Fjordenhus building. The ambition at LYST is to create a meal – an experience – as committed and uniquely accomplished as the architecture of the building itself. In a process of mutual inspiration, the building has influenced the food, while the local ingredients have in turn inspired the design of the dining space, chairs, glass, furniture, tableware, and not least the custom-composed soundscape that accompanies an evening at LYST. No detail is left to chance, although the experience is not overly controlled either.

Naturally, you can simply dine at LYST. But first and foremost, you are invited to sense, navigate and enjoy an intense space where gastronomy, the arts and a human interaction merge into a single symphonic event over the course of just a few hours. The chef and owner has roots in the Michelin kitchen, so you’re assured an experience grounded in quality. 

If you stop by a Danish roadside vending stall, you’ll be as close as you can almost get to fine Danish produce. Our wayside stall offers organic apples from our own orchard as well as our apple-derived products. We have free-range chickens, so you will also find wonderful fresh eggs in our stall.

Osteriet has been awarded the ‘Gare de Juré’ medal by the International Cheese Guild, which is the equivalent of a ‘Michelin star’ in the cheese business. The guild members are so-called ‘Finneur’ cheese specialists who are appointed worldwide on the recommendation of members. Osteriet offers a large selection of cheeses, mostly from European and Danish cheesemakers, including Arla Unique. Gårdbutikken Ravnsminde is a farm store where hosted by Simon and Julie and their three children. Ravnsminde is an old farm that exudes charm and authenticity. Here, the store sells its own produce as well as complementary ingredients. There are Wagyu-Limou cattle grazing on the surrounding meadows to the benefit of our climate and biodiversity. On the farm, we have free-range ducks and geese that enjoy free access to the farm’s fields. In the store, you will also find products by other producers, including local honey, specialty coffee, wine and apple juice – a selection where quality and taste are paramount. At Restaurant Remouladen Vejle we offer a dynamic and grounded culinary approach strongly rooted in Danish and French traditions. To us, flavour is paramount no matter where we source our inspiration. On the menu, you will find all our own favourites – and they each enjoy our undivided attention. Organic farming and animal welfare are very important values to us. We have strong convictions when it comes to sourcing produce and about the environment but we are not fanatic. We love Danish ingredients, preferably from the local area – but only if this is where we find the best produce. Once a week, we send a vehicle to Paris to source world-class specialties and vegetables. Flavour is paramount. We are located at Vejle Marina close to Bølgen and Fjordenhus.

Local and house-made delicacies with fresh ingredients from France. The Storgaard deli offers a delicious selection of approx. 200 house-made products. Every Tuesday evening, we select produce from a food market south of Paris, which we combine with produce sourced from small Danish producers, who like us give great emphasis to quality.

Tinnetgaard offers a large selection of gastronomic experiences, and always works from an ecological and sustainable approach.
