Bøgedal Brew is the only commercial brewery in the world to follow an old Danish brewing tradition from before industrialisation. Namely, the brewing of so-called “godtøl” – a strong, very rich beer with great residual sweetness. Such beer was brewed on farms around Denmark until the last century. Bøgedal Brew is Scandinavia’s only all-gravity brewery. Here, the beer runs from vessel to vessel using a hoist rather than pumps.
